In the Film, Ken Robinson: Bring on the revolution of learning, it discussed many strong concepts on the improvement of education. The first concept that stuck me was when Robinson was explaining that instead of evolution in learning their should be revolution. I agree with what he was saying, education is being reformed with a broken model which causes humans to not recognize their talents and put them to use, or test their intelligence to see what they are capable of. I believe it is true that there are two kinds of people in the world. Many people in the world are not happy with that they do, and instead of enjoying life they just endure it. There are those who are passionate about what they do, and enjoy life. Talent has diversity, just like what Robinson was explaining that humans should do things that makes your spirit happy or excited and that we should be passionate about what we do. I strongly agree with the concept about how we should do something where it makes an hour feel like five minutes, instead of five minutes feeling like a hour.
Another concept that really struck me, was when Robinson shared that people over twenty five wear wristwatches because they were born in a pre-digital time, and if you were to look at teenagers now they do not wear watches, because they were born into a digital generation. I believe that is one of the big issues now. Since the younger generation were born into smart phones, ipads, social media, and new and improved computers, it causes them to be in a bubble instead of exploring what's outside of the screen. For instance, there are five year olds that know how to use an ipad insteading knowing how to play board games, pr rather than playing outside with other kids. This causes many issues, for one, the younger generation will grow up not knowing how to physically interact with people face to face. Also, people are very addicted to using their social media that you can find out what a person is doing or who they are by just looking up that person's facebook or instagram profile. That creates another issue because when people go out in public they do not know what to conversate about because it's already right in front of you on the social media.
I also like the idea that humans should live an organic lifestyle rather than a linear lifestyle. We should be able to customize our own ways or creating our own solutions.

The Function of Education
In The Function of Education by Jiddu Krishnamurti, it had many questions based on education. One of the major questions Krishnamurti asked was, do we ever question ourselves what does education mean to us. I personally believe that education is a benefit for a person's future, it can prepare you on certain aspects of life but it can not teach you how to live a life. I think education can be an asset because it can help you exercise or recognize your intelligence and further your skills. Society tries to enforce the idea on the young minds that if we do not go to college that we will be stuck with a job that we are not happy with. But I also believe that sometimes you do not need an education to achieve a certain goal in life, because there are some people in the world who are wealthy and successful who did not go to college or finished school. I think education can go so far about life, but I believe that how to live a life can not be taught, life is lived through experiences.
I think life is full of surprises, you never know what is to expect. I agree with what Krishnamurti that life is extraordinary and Life is poor and rich, different types of religion, ambitions, fears, anxieties, passion and fulfillments. Also, and that the idea of life is to pass examination, find jobs, get married, have children, and become more and more like machines. I feel that is the affect education has on people which is that sometimes some people are too busy trying to make a living that they forget to how to live. I also agree with what Krishnamurti is discussing when he says "...you will get married, and before you know where you are you will be mothers and fathers; and you will then be tied to a job, or to the kitchen, in which you will gradually wither away." I agree with what was being said because I think if you do the same routine with life, we ask ourselves do we really enjoy life? Or is that what we really want?
I believe intelligence is not based on how good you are in school, I think there are people who are book smart and street smart, or naturally gifted. Education helps you extend your skills or even recognize what you are capable of doing. I also strongly agree when Krishnamurti says that it is important for the young ones to live in an environment where there is no fear because it will help in the future to prevent us from being afraid of living life or judgement. I also believe life is beautiful, having a life is freedom, what we make of it is even better. Life is about taking risk and ignoring the fear, doubts and insecurities because once a person is able to embrace all of that they are capable of doing anything they set their minds to.

About me
My name is Ann Daynelle Navarro, but I prefer Ann. I graduated high school June 2014, from James Logan High school. This is my first year attending Chabot, and so far I love and enjoy college. I am the second oldest of three, I have a younger sister and we are about ten years apart. I do my best to set a good example, I go to school full time and work part time. I am 18 years old but I don't believe i'll ever grow out of enjoying watching and reading DC comics or watching Marvel movies. I am a big fan of superheros. Finishing school and graduating with a career that I am passionate about is one of my major goals. I plan to attend Chabot for about three years and receive my AA degree and transfer to University of Davis and pursue a career as a Veterinarian. But I am also a bit undecided because there is another field of work I am thinking about pursuing, which is a Health Major. In high school I took a class called Peers In Action and was a part of this program called Youth advisory Board. In Youth Advisory Board our purpose was to promote and educate Youth on health. In Peers in Action it was a class for peer support for teengers that prevented, abuse, drug abuse and suicide. I believe after being a part of those two programs has transformed my thought process and it changed me to become open minded. I would love to have a career that has a positive change on society or people. English is one of my favorite subjects because I enjoy having a class made to discuss about certain subjects, and express your thoughts and opinions. Also the feeling of being heard and acknowledged, is why I enjoy English. I think some of my personal goals in life is to pursue a career that I am passionate about because having a job and a career are two different things. A career is something you enjoy doing and a job is just something that helps you get by.
I think my last personal goal is bit vague but I believe it's a goal for myself, and it's just be happy and enjoy life. I've learn that life will throw you things left and right, maybe even at the same time. But you either let is take over you and stop living or let it subside and keeping living. Learn from your mistakes and don't make the same mistakes twice or there is no growth.
